Consumer law provides protection to the consumers against issues like defective products and defective services. This area of law is relatively new in Pakistan with Punjab being the most proactive province. The Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005 has been a significant legislation where the rights of general consumers are being protected against the negative market forces. The Consumer Courts where consumer rights are enforced are now operative in more than 17 districts of Punjab.
CrossEdge intends to sensitize the general consumers about their rights and shall develop an infrastructure where through advocacy and legal representation a change may be brought within the society.
